Our services
Duct cleaning when you need it. Honesty when you don't.
Some houses genuinely need their ducts cleaned. Others just need a better filter — and a company willing to say so. We do both: real duct cleaning with the right equipment, and the ductwork repairs that fix comfort problems cleaning can't touch.

The honest version of duct cleaning
Duct cleaning has a reputation problem, and the industry earned it — coupon blasts, fifteen-minute "cleanings," and scare photos from someone else's house. Here's our position: duct cleaning is a legitimate service with real equipment and real results when the ducts are actually dirty. After a remodel, after rodents, after decades of neglect, the difference is visible and worth every dollar.
But if your ducts are reasonably clean and your real problem is dust or allergies, a cleaning sells you relief a better filter would deliver cheaper. We inspect first and recommend second — even when the honest recommendation is a smaller invoice.

Ductwork: the half of your system nobody sees
Your furnace and AC only make comfort; the ducts deliver it. In older valley homes we regularly find crushed flex duct, disconnected branches quietly heating a crawlspace, panned joist returns that leak like screens, and additions tapped into runs that were already maxed out. The equipment gets blamed while the ductwork does the damage.
We repair, seal, resize, and reroute: fixing the branch that starves the back bedroom, adding the return a closed door cut off, sealing the joints bleeding air into the attic. Small duct corrections routinely do more for comfort than a thermostat war ever will.
What a real cleaning looks like
Agitation plus negative pressure — the debris gets knocked loose and pulled into collection, not blown around the house. Registers come off and get cleaned, supply and return trunks both get attention, and the system goes back together sealed at least as well as we found it. You see the before and after. If a company quotes a whole-house cleaning in under an hour, they're planning to clean your registers and your wallet.
Pricing
Straightforward pricing
Duct cleaning runs flat-rate based on your system's size — ask for the current price when you call, and it won't change at the door. Ductwork repairs, sealing, and modifications get quoted after we've actually looked, because duct problems hide until someone crawls in with a light.

Duct Cleaning & Ductwork questions
Straight answers
How often should ducts be cleaned?
Not on a subscription. Ducts earn a cleaning after events: a remodel or new construction dust, rodents or pests, visible mold or debris, or decades with no service. If a company wants to clean your ducts every year, ask what they found last time. We clean when there's something to clean.
Will duct cleaning help my allergies?
It can help when the ducts are genuinely contributing — visible dust load, pest debris, or construction dust cycling through the system. But filtration usually matters more for day-to-day allergens. Honest answer: we'll look, and if a better filter setup would do more for you than a cleaning, we'll say exactly that.
Why is one room always hot in summer and cold in winter?
That's usually a duct problem, not an equipment problem — an undersized run, a crushed or disconnected duct in a crawlspace, a long branch with no damper balancing it, or a return that can't pull its weight. It's diagnosable, and fixing the duct beats cranking the thermostat forever.
Is duct sealing worth it?
Often, yes. Leaky ducts dump conditioned air into attics and crawlspaces before it ever reaches your rooms — you pay to heat and cool spaces nobody lives in. Sealing accessible leaks is one of the quieter high-return fixes in HVAC, especially on older Salt Lake City homes with original ductwork.
How long does duct cleaning take?
Most homes take a few hours — it scales with the number of vents and how much system there is. We'll give you a time window when you book, and we protect floors and walls while the equipment is in the house.
