About us

The shop behind the vans

Lucas Heating and Air is a family-owned heating and cooling company working out of a shop at 840 W 1700 S in Salt Lake City — the same city we've served since 2006. If you've seen our navy vans around the valley, this is the crew inside them.

Since 2006

Owner-run, not call-center-run

The company belongs to Lucas M. Lopez, and he still works it. When you call(801) 678-5748, you reach our Salt Lake City shop — not a national dispatch queue — and the person who prices your job is accountable to the person whose name is on the building.

Twenty years in the same valley teaches you things no training course does: how swamp-cooler-era houses fight new ductwork, what the inversion does to a filter by February, and which furnaces actually hold up at our altitude. It also teaches you that reputation is the whole business. We'd rather tell you a repair will do than sell you a system you don't need.

Our crew speaks English and Spanish — not a phone line "with Spanish options," but the actual technicians in your home. Se habla español, de verdad.

Equipment

Premium or budget-friendly — installed right either way

We install Trane when you want the best equipment on the market and Goodman when the budget matters more — and we'll tell you plainly which one fits your house and your plans. Both come with the same careful installation and the same 5-year labor warranty.

Repairs aren't brand-limited: we service all makes and models — Carrier, Lennox, Ruud, Amana, and the rest — across furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and mini-splits on the Wasatch Front.
