Sized for your house, not for a spreadsheet

The most expensive mistake in air conditioning isn't a cheap brand — it's the wrong size. Plenty of systems in the valley were sold by square footage, and their owners live with rooms that never cool evenly and equipment that cycles itself to death. We do the load work: windows, orientation, insulation, duct condition, and how your family actually uses the space.

Salt Lake City's dry heat changes the math too. We don't fight coastal humidity here, but we do fight triple-digit rooftop temperatures and 4,200-plus feet of elevation, and equipment selection should respect both.

Premium or value — both installed right

We install two lines on purpose. Trane when you want the best equipment on the market with the deepest warranty coverage.Goodman when the budget matters and you still want reliable cooling with parts availability everywhere. What we won't do is install either one badly: the brazing, evacuation, charge, and airflow setup are identical on every job, because installation quality decides how long any brand lasts.

We also register your manufacturer warranty for you and hand over the confirmation. Skipping registration quietly cuts most manufacturers' coverage — it's a two-minute task that too many homeowners never hear about.

What "installed clean" means to us

Floor protection at the door. A level pad and a plumb unit. New lineset or a properly flushed one, never a dirty shortcut. Nitrogen purge while brazing, a real vacuum pull verified with a micron gauge, and a charge set by measurement instead of by feel. Breakers, disconnects, and drain lines brought up to code even when the old install ignored them. Then we run it with you watching and walk you through everything before we load the van.

Pricing

What drives the price

Every AC replacement is a different job, so we don't publish one-size-fits-nobody prices. Your free estimate comes with real numbers for your house and at least two equipment options. What moves the price:

  • System capacity — what your home's size, windows, and insulation actually require
  • Efficiency tier: standard SEER2 equipment versus high-efficiency systems
  • Brand and line — Trane premium versus Goodman value, both solid choices
  • Condition of your existing ductwork, lineset, and electrical
  • Pad, disconnect, and code items the old install may have skipped
  • Permits and haul-away of the old equipment — included, but part of the math

How it works with us

No surprises, start to finish

  1. Free in-home estimate

We measure and look at the real house — ducts, returns, electrical, where the equipment lives. No drive-by quotes.

  2. Options in writing

At least two systems, priced out, with our honest read on which one fits your house and your budget. Financing options if you want them.

  3. Install day

Floor protection down, old unit out, new system set, brazed, pressure-tested, evacuated, charged, and commissioned. Most replacements finish in a day.

  4. Walkthrough and registration

We show you the system, set up the thermostat, register your manufacturer warranty for you, and leave the paperwork in your hand.

AC Installation & Replacement questions

Straight answers

How long does an AC installation take?

Most straight replacements finish in one day. Add ductwork corrections, electrical upgrades, or a matching furnace swap and it can stretch to two. You'll know the schedule before we start.

Trane or Goodman — which should I pick?

Trane is our premium line: top-tier engineering and the strongest warranties, registered for you. Goodman is our value line: solid, serviceable equipment at a friendlier price. Both get the same careful installation and the same free 5-year labor warranty from us. The install quality matters more than the sticker.

Do I have to replace my furnace at the same time?

Not always, and we'll tell you honestly. If your furnace is healthy and its blower matches the new AC's airflow needs, keep it. If it's near end-of-life, doing both at once saves labor and avoids paying twice. We quote it both ways so you can see the difference.

Why does sizing matter so much?

An oversized AC cools the air fast but shuts off before it dehumidifies or evens out the house, and the constant starting wears it out early. An undersized one runs forever and never catches up on the hottest days. We calculate the load for your actual house instead of guessing from square footage.

Can I finance a new system?

Yes. We offer three financing paths, and checking your options starts with a soft credit pull that doesn't affect your score. Every option is subject to credit approval by the lender — see our financing page or just ask during your estimate.

Is the estimate really free?

Yes. Estimates on new systems and replacements are always free, in person, with real numbers. No pressure and no obligation — keep the quote and think it over.
